We are a "community powered" streaming radio station, partnered with the Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center (WBOM = "Best of Mendelssohn") in Rockford, IL.
We began planning our station in February, 2015, and aired for the first time on August 30, 2015. We went live 24/7/365 on January 1, 2016.
Our mission is to promote the Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center, Rockford and the surrounding communities, and art in general.
WBOM/Full Service Radio
We play a bit of everything in what we call "full service radio" - blues, jazz, classical, reggae, punk, EDM, live, inspirational, soundtrack, new age, ambient, world - plus pop from today going all the way back to the dawn or recorded sound. We have award-winning talk shows, and broadcast local concerts every Sunday night.
