Biography

Zana Prana is a live performance artist from Aotearoa - a sonic shapeshifter who weaves bass music, ceremony and live vocals into dance journeys, soundscapes and listening experiences that crack hearts open and move rooms into something that feels ancient & alive. On stage she is fully unleashed. DJing, singing, feeling the bass move through her body and out into the crowd - she creates experiences that blur the line between dance floor and sacred space, between bass drop and prayer. Her sets open as portals and close as medicine, taking audiences somewhere they didn't know they needed to go. Drawing on a lifetime of kapahaka, years of ceremonial work across Asia, the Americas and Australasia, and a deep love of cinematic bass music, Zana dances in the duality - holding the underground and the sacred in equal measure. She has performed at Envision Festival, Unison Festival, Bali Spirit Festival, High Vibe Fest, EarthBeat NZ and beyond, building a reputation as an otherworldly presence whose performances leave rooms transformed. She is not a DJ who also sings. She is not a sound healer who also plays bass. She is something rarer… a performer whose voice, whose selections, whose full-body presence turns a dance floor into a ritual and a ritual into a homecoming.
